Our Champions are our Assistance, Type 1 Diabetes medical alert and Therapy Dogs who have that incredible ability to connect, bond and assist children with disability or disease, at risk teens and young people with disabilities to heal and thrive in life. Our Champions bring out the best in us and time and again we have seen lives transformed through canine intervention.
Our Heroes are the people we have the privilege to serve, our children and families living with Type 1- Diabetes and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders, our at risk teens deemed to be at significant educational risk, our young people with disabilities who allow us to assist them to bring their promise to life. We launch our Heroes into a new day, a new normal and a better tomorrow with quality, dignity, and hope.
Righteous Pups operate quality programs that provide hope, change and a better quality of life for all people in their moment of need.
WHO ARE RIGHTEOUS PUPS AUSTRALIA?
Starting in Bendigo in 2005, Righteous Pups was founded by Joanne Baker in response to her concerns about young people living within the cycle of disability, poverty and mental health issues within the City of Greater Bendigo and surrounding areas.
Today, Righteous Pups works with over 100 at risk teens and young people through our array of therapy dog programs and places 6-10 assistance dogs throughout Australia.
Righteous Pups trains dogs for assistance, facility and therapy roles which empower people to live with greater independence, social inclusion, and quality of life, through the active support and participation of people within the local community.

“Bella Rose, named in honour of Bell”
Bella had a true love for animals and the hugest heart for helping anyone in need, therefore the walk successfully raised raise $35,000 for Righteous Pups. This amount covered the cost of raising a wonderful puppy, named Bella Rose, who will go on to enrich the life of a fortunate owner.

SATURDAY 21 JANUARY, BRIDGEWATER
To celebrate and honour the life that Bella lived, we are holding a walk in her legacy.
The walk aims to raise funds for Righteous Pups but also provides an opportunity for community to gather and supporting each other to remember those affected by road trauma and to celebrate the lives of those lost.
This is a family friendly and event for everyone, you can run or walk, no matter what your fitness level. Bring along your friends and family!
Celebrations will continue at the Bridgwater Hotel following the walk with entertainment, a silent auction and food available to purchase.
Parking is available at the cemetery. If required, a courtesy bus will be provided from the Bridgewater Hotel to the Cemetery carpark following the event.
WHEN: SATURDAY 21 JANUARY, 2023 - 4.30pm for check-in , 5.00pm for start
WHERE: The 2.5km walk begins at the Bridgewater Cemetery (Cemetery Road) and finishes at the Bridgewater Hotel.
REGISTER TODAY: All proceeds to go to Righteous Pups.
Caps, polos and tshirts are available to wear on the day.
